Yoon Shi-Yoon has signed up to play Do Yong-Shik, a 31-year-old public service student. While preparing for his civil service examination, he starts to gain weight and ends up being advised to get a urology consultation. It turns out, his first love will become his attending physician, and in order to rebuild his fallen self-esteem, Yong-Shik must stop feeling embarrassed in front of her. Yoon, who previously led the dramas Psychopath Diary (2019–2020) and Train (2020), is on to expand his acting experience with a new series genre.

Breathing life into Ru-da’s problematic boyfriend Do Ji-hyuk is Park Ki-Woong. Ji-hyuk is a psychiatrist who runs a psychological counseling center in the same building as his girlfriend. He was born into a rich family, is a private practice physician, and is incredibly handsome. The only thing is, he is also too aware of these facts. Thinking that his charms will allow him to get away with anything, Ji-hyuk never runs out of new tricks to irritate his girlfriend. This will be Park’s return to the small screen after participating in Wavve’s original drama Kkondae Intern last year.

Meanwhile, EXID’s Hani has been roped in to portray Lee Ru-da, a urologist or a doctor specializing in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive tract. She seems to have it all─looks, wealth, and love. The only problem she has is her boyfriend’s overflowing confidence, which she tries to neutralize by bragging about her first love. However, Ru-da sees her first love again at the hospital and finds him looking different from the man he used to be. In order to save face, she offers to help him pick up his self-esteem. The drama is Hani’s second project with Wavve, following her appearance in SF8: White Crow in 2020.

Production company Studio S remarked, “With a bubbly and sexy storyline, we are planning to capture the growth period of young people as they take charge of both life and love. We ask for your interest in You Raise Me Up, which will be released exclusively in Wavve this summer.”

Penned by Mo Ji-Hye and directed by Kim Jung-Han, You Raise Me Up has recently cranked up its filming.
