New romantic-comedy series for Kim Min-kyu and Ahn Hyo-Seop will work together!
On July 1, Kim’s agency Happy Tribe Entertainment shared, “Kim Min-kyu has been cast in the upcoming SBS drama The Office Blind Date.”
Based on a popular web novel by manhwa author Hae Hwa, The Office Blind Date follows the unexpected romance between a regular office girl and a young CEO after meeting each other at an arranged date. However, what sounds like a perfect love story may not be so, as she has been pretending to be someone else the whole time and he hates liars more than anything. Earlier reports revealed that Dr. Romantic 2’s Ahn Hyo-Seop has signed up to play male protagonist Kang Tae-mu.
Since making his proper debut in the 2016 drama Signal, Kim has been building a steady career by performing well in various small-screen projects, including Perfume (2019), Queen: Love and War (2019-2020), and Backstreet Rookie (2020). Most recently, the 26-year-old artist made hearts flutter with his role in the over-the-top (OTT) series So I Married an Anti-fan (2021).
Kim Min-kyu, on the other hand, has been pulled in to play Cha Seong-hoon, a warmhearted guy who works as the chief secretary of CEO Kang Tae-mu.
The Office Blind Date targets to kick off filming in the second half of 2021 and air in the first half of 2022.
