A unique way of introducing its main characters, incorporating numbers in each character poster in
tvN’s upcoming Wednesday and Thursday drama My Roommate Is a Gumiho this 2021!
The new fantasy-romance drama follows a university student who accidentally swallows the bead of a 999-year-old male gumiho (a Korean mythological fox with nine tails). Until they figure out a solution on how to take out the bead from the student’s body before it breaks, the two are forced to live together.
The released character posters feature main stars Jang Ki-Yong (Born Again), Girl’s Day’s Lee Hye-RI (Miss Lee), Kang Han-na (Start-Up), Kim Do-wan (Start-Up), and Bae In-hyuk (The Spies Who Loved Me).
Jang Ki-Yong takes center stage as Shin Woo-yeo, a gumiho who currently works as a university professor. In his poster is the number 999, which indicates the years he has lived as a mythical creature.

Lee Hye-ri plays Lee Dam, a university student who has never been in a relationship. She has the number 99 written on her character poster, which stands for her birth year 1999.

Meanwhile, Kang Han-na stars as Yang Hye-sun, Woo-yeo’s friend and a former gumiho. Her number 360 degrees indicates the full transformation she underwent when she changed from a gumiho to a human.

Kim Do-wan plays the hopeless romantic Do Jae-jin, whose given number 12 is the number of times he has been dumped in the past.

Lastly, Bae In-hyuk portrays Gye Sun-woo, a social media star with 23.1 million internet followers, which explains the number 23.1 man (million) in his poster.

My Roommate Is a Gumiho will premiere this coming May 26 at 10: 30 p.m. KST, following the conclusion of Mouse.
